I served as a paramedic in New York City in the early 2000s, including as a first responder on 9/11 — work that asked everything of me. I wasn't equipped to handle the toll it took, or the impact of repeated exposure to trauma. For a long time, I carried more than I knew how to name — the way so many of us do, carrying a lifetime of experiences, grief, unprocessed emotion, and holding patterns that are hard to let go of on our own.

I found my way onto a yoga mat, and slowly, that practice became something to hold onto — a sanctuary, a refuge, a quiet place to return to. It became a calling. I went on to complete my yoga teacher training.

Around that time, I began working with an energy healing practitioner. What started as monthly sessions became one of the most profound experiences of my life — I felt more grounded, safe, and at peace, with a growing capacity to process and release what had been keeping me from feeling fully alive, self-expressed, and free. I share this because I've lived what it means for this work to be a powerful support alongside everything else it takes to heal.

That experience changed the course of my life. I began immersing myself in Reiki and energy healing in 2020, and the pull toward this work only continued to deepen. I am currently enrolled in a four-year training at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing — one of the most respected programs in integrated energy healing — to keep expanding what's possible in this work. I am filled with gratitude for the teachers and healers I've had the privilege to work with and learn from throughout this journey, who have had such a profound impact on my life.

Today, I offer Reiki, yoga, somatic practices, and guided meditation, each one a thread in the same fabric: coming home to the body, the breath, and the sacred. I created this space because I know, firsthand, what it means to feel unburdened — and I'd be honored to walk that path alongside you. I also bring almost two decades of experience as a sign language interpreter, and it's been a privilege to recently offer yoga and Reiki within the Deaf and interpreting community — work I hope to continue growing.

“Julie is an exceptionally gifted practitioner in her Reiki work, somatic healing, and teaching of therapeutic yoga. She offers deep, compassionate care and creates a space that feels profoundly safe and supportive. Her intuitive attunement to healing energy is remarkable, and each session feels intentional, grounded and transformative. I am continually touched by her presence, skill and integrity. Working with Julie is truly a gift!"
